Smirking back at his wife when she mentioned his past lesson learned, Jack rolled his eyes a little at Rose’s words before turning his attention over towards Zim now. “Yeah, you'd best hang out with us for a while, Zim.” he said before returning his gaze back to the black and white print newspaper he was currently reading.

“Besides...” Rose wrapped an arm around Zim. “There's something we've been wanting to show you two.” she said, leading Zim over towards the opposite side of the couch to take a seat across from Dib before turning back to Jack. “Did you find the video of our wedding, Jack? It might be fun to give him a taste of what he's in for with Dib.” she said, having asked him to dig it up a few nights earlier.

Jack grinned. “Oh yeah, I found it last night.” he said, putting his paper aside and getting up to go and retrieve the tape from their bedroom.

Rose turned back to Zim. “The ceremony might not be as big but hopefully it will run somewhat along the same lines as ours.” she smiled as Jack returned a minute or so later with the VHS tape in hand.

Zim looked up curiously as Jack popped the tape into a rather outdated-looking VCR and pressed the triangular play button.

Rose looked up also as the video started playing, the picture a little faded and shaky at first before steadying as wedding music began to play in the background, the camera soon focusing in on Rose wearing a beautiful, white wedding gown that hugged her body in all the right places.

Eyes widening, Zim glanced at the pile of blankets that was Dib before smiling to himself as he couldn’t help but imagine the hybrid in such an outfit.

Antennae twitching as he heard the wedding music coming from the TV, Dib then just barely peeked his head out from under the blanket to have a look for himself.

“Oh, how I loved that dress.” Rose smiled to herself, remembering the day oh so well. “We'll have to take Dib shopping for one eventually too. B-But not until after the actual wedding date is set. If we went now, he might not fit into it the day the wedding came, what with him being pregnant and all.” she said, having already given some of the planning for their wedding some thought.

His eyes stuck on the screen, Zim merely nodded, not really paying all that much attention to what Rose was saying any longer.

Dib peeked his head out just a bit more to get a better look as the tape progressed, showing Rose slowly making her way down the aisle with an older gentleman he assumed to be her father, a relatively young flower girl meanwhile carrying a basket full of flowers and scattering the petals all about in front of them.

Her father having passed away since then, Rose smiled sadly.

Coming up next to her, Jack pulled her in close and kissed her on the forehead. “He was a good man...” he spoke softly against her hair.

Rose sighed softly at the gentle kiss. “Yeah…He was...” she said before leaning back against Jack for more support.

Glancing at the two for just a moment, Zim’s attention was soon dragged back to the screen.

Continuing to watch the rest of the tape in silence, Jack kissed Rose a second time before the camera soon came to focus in on him instead now, standing at the other end of the aisle with his best man and dressed in a very nice, three-piece black suit.

“We'll have to buy you a nice suit too, Zim. I'm sure Dib will like that.” Rose glanced at the hybrid, who was also watching the video closely.

Noticing Rose look at him, Dib blushed and pulled back underneath the blanket slightly before peeking out just a tiny bit at the screen again.

“Hmm…I suppose my uniform won’t be enough for this...” Zim commented, not even bothering to mention the fact that his uniform had actually been destroyed from past events.

“A suit will work better for the occasion anyways. And besides...” Rose looked Zim over. “I bet you'll look extremely handsome in a suit, if you don't mind wearing one for just a few hours. I'm certain we can take you out to get fitted for one.” she said, not wanting him to think she’d forgotten about him in her planning.

Blushing a bit at those words, Zim then smirked at the compliment. “Well, Zim looks good in anything, but I suppose a suit will be more appropriate than just my bare epidermis.” he said smugly, not really caring either way what he wore to this event.

“Eh heh heh....Yeah, Zim. Let's keep clothes involved in this wedding.” Rose laughed nervously.

Zim smirked again. “If you insist~” he said in a small, playful manner.

Giggling to herself a bit, Rose then turned back to the video, the picture on the screen now showing her and Jack exchanging vows before the ring bearer approached with the two wedding rings nestled next to each other on a small pillow, each of which were meant to be exchanged and placed on the other's ring finger.

“Hmmm…I bet Gir could do that.” Zim pointed at the young boy serving as their ring bearer on screen.

“Well, the ring bearer is usually somebody either related to the bride's side of the family or the groom's. But seeing as how Dib's only relative he's still in contact with seems to be Gaz and you don't have family on Earth, I'll bet you could substitute Gir for the ring bearer.” Rose agreed before then picking Gir up off the ground and hugging him close. “Besides, he's so cute!” she said, nuzzling a cheek to the disguised android’s head affectionately.

“I AM!” Gir smiled wide.

Zim rolled his eyes. “Don't fill his ego. He doesn't need one.” he said before crossing his arms and looking away with a small pout.

“Aw, come on, Zim. He deserves at least a little extra attention. After all, soon most of your attention will be on taking care of the smeets.”

“I'M GONNA HELP WITH THE BABIES!” Gir squealed excitedly.

Zim’s eyes widened at those words. “Oh, no you're NOT! I've seen what you do to babies, Gir!” he glared at the little green dog in Rose’s arms.

“Awww...BUT THEY SO TASTY!” Gir smiled innocently at Zim.

Dib couldn't help but tense up slightly under the blanket at those words.

“Now, now, Zim, I'm sure so long as you're holding them, he'll be as gentle as possible with the babies.”

“Mmmmhmmm!” Gir nodded his head reassuringly.

Zim merely glared at Gir even more however. “MmmHmm…Suuure.” he responded back skeptically.

Gir smiled back at Zim happily.

“Err...Oh, look! There's the reception!” Rose pointed back at the screen as a large, white-frosted wedding cake was wheeled out with little bride and groom figurines on top.

Dib peeked out from under the covers again to get a better look at the cake.

Glancing at the cake himself, it wasn’t long before all Zim’s attention was on it. “Oh WOW!” he exclaimed upon seeing just how large it was.

“We'll definitely have to get you one of those too. Whatever flavor you'd like.”

Zim licked his lips, imagining the ginormous cake already.

Rose laughed a little at Zim's facial expression. “I already know what's going to be YOUR favorite part of this wedding, Zim.” she said before then looking back over at Dib and reaching out a hand to lightly caress one of his antennas, hoping to coax the hybrid out from his hiding place more. “And perhaps the smeets' favorite part too.” she said, knowing they had been the driving force behind most of Dib’s most recent sweet cravings.

His antennae twitching slightly at the contact, as though to encourage more touch, Dib practically melted at the gentle petting. “...They already take after Zim in that respect...” he murmured, his words coming out somewhat slurred now as he relaxed against the couch, his body quickly growing lax.
A/N: And we're back. :) Back from my short hiatus for a while, and just in time for Valentine's Day too. ^^ Hope you guys weren't missing me too much during the time I was taking a break from working on this story. To put things simply though, it was a pretty nice break and I don't doubt I'll do this every now and then to refresh my writing style.
